On May 6, 2004 the Los Angeles Local Agency Formation Commission held a public workshop to review and open the 30-day comment period for the draft report of abbreviated MSRs for non-essential districts. All comments have been received and incoporated, where appropriate into the final document. Click on the link below to view/download the final report. A separate link is provided to view and/or download the corresponding district maps. You will need Acrobat Reader to view/download the following documents. A free copy of Acrobat Reader is available for downloading at www.adobe.com. In the coming weeks additional MSRs will be available for the High Desert Area, the Las Virgenes Area and an MSR of Water Service Providers under LAFCO jurisdiction in Los Angeles County.

Local agencies are subject to sphere of influence updates every five years, in accordance with the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000, Government Code Sections 56425 and 56430.
LAFCO
is in the process of performing Municipal Service Reviews
and recently sent out Request
for Information documents to all Cites and Special Districts
within Los Angeles County. Part I is due in four weeks and
Part II is due six weeks.
